A seasonal or temporary banner can make a timely message more visible, but the job needs to be planned around its location and display method. The artwork, material and finishing should not be confirmed until the intended use is clear.

Define the purpose and display period

Decide whether the banner identifies an event, promotes a limited offer, directs visitors or supports a recurring seasonal campaign. Confirm the first day it is needed and how long it is expected to remain in place. Remove or replace dated wording when the campaign ends.

Measure the available space

Provide the approximate width and height, photographs of the location and information about nearby doors, windows, posts or obstructions. The design should suit the proportions of the real display area rather than being resized at the last minute.

Confirm how it will be displayed

Explain whether the banner will use existing supports or requires advice about finishing and fixing. Indoor, sheltered and exposed locations can have different requirements. Suitability, material, finishing and any fitting work must be assessed for the specific site; no general weather or safety performance should be assumed.

Keep seasonal artwork easy to update

Use one clear campaign message, an obvious date where needed and a simple call to action. If the banner will return next season, keep a record of the approved dimensions and artwork, but reconfirm dates, contact details and the condition or compatibility of any existing hardware before reordering.
