A promotional sticker might identify an organisation, support an event or carry a useful message on packaging. Start by deciding what it is meant to do and where it will be applied.
Handing out stickers does not establish how many people saw them, remembered the business or placed an order. Those outcomes need separate evidence.
Choose one communication job
A logo sticker, event reminder and information label serve different purposes. Decide what the intended recipient should understand before choosing the wording and shape.
If the business name does not explain the offer, a short description may help. Avoid fitting several unrelated promotions into a small space simply because there is room in the artwork file.
Plan the surface and placement
Tell us whether the sticker will be applied to packaging, an indoor display, equipment or another item. Explain the surface, intended display period and relevant exposure.
Only apply stickers where you have permission. Giving someone a sticker is not permission to decorate public fixtures or another person’s property. For stickers handed out to others, provide suitable information about their intended application.
Check suitability before production
Water, sunlight, rubbing, cleaning, temperature and removal needs can affect the specification. A material suitable for one use is not automatically suitable for another.
Food contact, refrigeration, dishwasher use, chemicals and other demanding environments need confirmation before an option is recommended. Do not promise an outdoor lifespan, damage-free removal or environmental benefit without evidence for the actual product.
Make the next step understandable
A web address or QR code can lead to relevant information, but explain what the reader will find. Test the destination and check that it works comfortably on a phone.
A QR code does not automatically measure effectiveness. Tracking depends on the destination and measurement setup, and a visit is not the same as a qualified enquiry or sale.
Review the finished-size artwork
Check the logo, wording and any code at the intended size. Confirm spelling and contact details. Use artwork you own or have permission to reproduce.
Ask about the supplied format and application needs. Shape, finishing and stock options should be confirmed from the job rather than assumed from examples.
Prepare a useful sticker enquiry
Send the purpose, intended item and surface, conditions, approximate size, shape, quantity, artwork and required date. Say if the sticker must be removed later.
The custom labels and stickers page explains the application-first enquiry process. Call 062 61524, WhatsApp 085 858 1906 or visit the Cashel shop.
Record what the activity actually achieved
If stickers support a particular campaign, keep its purpose and distribution details clear. Record genuine enquiries and orders separately from quantities printed or distributed.
Ask whether the message reached the right people and led to the intended next step. An attractive sticker or encouraging traffic figure does not guarantee a commercial return.
